Following the start of the new course, a great doubt comes to mind. Who will be responsible, if unfortunately at some point, an accident occurs at the IES Torrellano?
Accident or Negligence, because a sudden event is not the same, as a foreseeable event that has not been remedied, increasing the real risk.
Because in these times, it is hard to see any public administrator taking responsibility for any negative action. At this time, we know who was responsible for the construction of the building that houses the IES, being able to hold that company responsible for the damages suffered in the structure of the facade of the same. We also know who has placed the scaffolding that surrounds the center, as well as who put the protections that were placed around the wall until their final arrangement arrived, although we do not know exactly what funds were paid.
But what we do not know and from El Altet Decides WE DEMAND to know, it is who will be responsible in the event of an accident. Because today, we still do not have any document where a competent technician has stamped his signature, assuming that responsibility. Because in the meantime, we understand that the decision is made by a political person, who in the future will not assume any responsibility.
Have the courage to say clearly who will be responsible and stop passing the ball. Among children, teaching and labor staff, there are more than 800 people at risk day after day. But of course, those children are from Camp d’Elx.
