Controversial expansion of the El Altet Rodolfo Tomás y Samper college.

    We are next to the Rodolfo Tomás y Samper Infant and Primary School in El Altet.

   Between El Altet, Balsares and Arenales, there are more than 800 school-age children.

   Did you know…
   Just over 400 are enrolled in Rodolfo and the rest, almost half, go outside our municipality due to lack of a greater educational offer here.

   This problem is not new, and in 2011 the Department wanted to build a second school in El Altet, a project opposed by the Elche city council, apologizing for the lack of land.

   The expansion that they now want to carry out will be done inside the patio, losing almost half of the land used for recreation and sports.

   In El Altet there are at least two other areas with educational land, and if there were not, any other plot could be classified, as has been done in Elche.

   Did you know…
   This expansion, which is not going to solve the current problem, much less the future of our population, will cost € 2 million, when building a new school would not reach 4 million.
