In the last plenary session of March, El Altet Decide, asked the councilor for education about the deadlines for the expansion project of the Rodolfo Tomás y Samper School in El Altet.
The question stated the slowness with which the much-needed reform of the center is being undertaken, to adapt it to the current demand, which will soon be overtaken by the growth of the population in our town.
As always, El Altet Decide objected to spending 2 million euros on a work that will hardly solve the problem for a few years.
Being able to allocate that amount to the construction of a second school in another area, or to carry out a true expansion of the current one by acquiring more land and avoiding enclosing the new educational units in the land that currently occupies the center's playground. The city council only comes to solve the current problem, without thinking about the future of our population, condemning that our children have to go out to study in other towns and limiting the future and the hope of an entire town.
